I found out via Google news world, earthquake in china, political crisis in honduras, and insurgency still going on in iraq/afghanistan. our domestic news won’t stop focusing on michael jackson and cover these more current world events!
Yes. It’s also fine for domestic news to cover Michael Jackson, provided they do so in proportion to the remainder of the news, which they don’t, because controversy is “dangerous.” (What is really dangerous is the dumbing down of America by the likes of Faux “News,” although the election of a conservative Democrat has shaken them enough to learn to do what they had forgotten about once Clinton left the White House: criticize the president. Of course, Clinton and Obama were elected, so maybe that’s the difference.)
